Beach trip writing ~ Sanaa
Beach trip writing By Sanaa
Yesterday at Monday 2nd of December,
there was a departing activity set for the whole school.
We would be able to go to the beach by bus,
and there was no charge.
Of course I felt inspired and decided to go,
like who wouldn't want to go to the beach plus a free ride!
I quickly packed my things as soon as I got home,
plastered a grin and waited for the next day.
The next day game by in a whip, and the class settled for the bus.
We had a lot of talking and put some sunscreen and were on our way.
I felt the soft breeze and sandy sand against my toes
I heard joyful screams of other children and felt a chill as
I saw my worst sport Cricket.
Other kids cry with joy but me
I was kinda bad at Cricket and I definitely didn’t want to play.
But I tried out anyways and to my surprise
I realised I had gotten a tiny bit better.
After that we had gone to another activity with
two coaches I had seen before.
The coaches played games with us and cool activities.
My favourite activity was the one where
we had to get into partners and do whatever the coach said.
For example he said up down and we had to hold
our partners shoulders when he said up and
let go when he said down and we had to keep doing it until
he said go and we all ran right side and had
to circle back and if he said under and I had
to get under my partner by there legs and go
snatch a squishy smooth toy of some sort.
Then we had to get back to our partner and it was there turn.
After a lot of fun everyone went back to the meet up spot and
unlocked our backpacks and dug into lunch. We did loads of more
activities and soon all of us were exhausted. Then at the end of the
day we crawled into the same buses we got in before,
and rode home.

School Ceremony Of Owairaka
Tuesday 17th September 2019!
Today in Owairaka District School, celebrated their 90th birthday. It was a very special day. My friend Mushdah Tariqi is known as the oldest student in the entire school so she got to cut the long chocolate cake. There is a student that first came to Owairaka seventy years ago. Years ago the school didn't have the name Owairaka District School, they changed the name in 1930.
